KSR is trying its level best to mobilize its capacity and help these helpless people of Bangladesh. All over the year KSR is contributing this society restlessly to fulfill the big gap between poverty and necessity. After the independence, Kuwait Government made its welfare aid available for Bangladesh organized by the Kuwait Embassy, Dhaka. The aid program was increasing day by day. To ensure this aid transparent and more effective, Kuwait diplomatic mission decided to establish KJRC (former name) in Bangladesh. Primarily it was attached with Embassy of the State of Kuwait, Dhaka. Later on, with discussion between former ambassador and founder chairman of KJRC in Bangladesh, it was decided to separate KJRC from the embassy. In the year, 1992 it was registered in the name of “Kuwait Mutual Relief Committee” (Registration No. 651) with NGO Affairs Bureau on 19th September, 1992. Before staring the activities formally, another appeal was submitted to NGO Bureau for name amendment as “Kuwait Joint Relief Committee-KJRC”. It was approved on 18th September, 1993 with the permission to continue with the same registration number. In November 2017 KJRC adapted the name as Kuwait Society for Relief-KSR with the kind approval of NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh according to the name of its head office in Kuwait. KSR implements its activities in the name of “Five Years Social Development Program” in Bangladesh with the kind approval of NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh.
